Griffins Collect Sweep Over Highlanders, Summers Sets Single-Season Record In Wins

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University baseball team won its third straight and sixth out of the last seven after sweeping past MacMurray 4-2 in game one and 3-2 in the finale. Also, Luke Summers broke a 16-year single-season record in wins at Fontbonne as he picked up his ninth win on the year. The previous mark of eight was set back in 2003 by John Morgan.

EUREKA, Ill.—The Fontbonne University baseball team earned a split against Eureka on Saturday. The team took game one 5-0 but fell 11-5 in the finale. In game one, Luke Summers tied the all-time record in wins (17) and became the all-time leader in strikeouts (202). In game two, Jonathan Hoevelmann set the single-season record with 26 stolen bases.
