Women's Volleyball Preview Against Illinois College And STLCOP

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—After a week off, the Fontbonne University women's volleyball team returns to action tomorrow night on the road against Illinois College. On Wednesday, the Griffins will be back at home against St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Both contests start at 7 p.m.

A Look At The Griffins

  • Fontbonne will be hitting the court for the first time since September 7th where they dropped both contests in straight sets against Avila.
  • On the season, the Griffins are averaging 6.94 kills per set and a .007 hitting percentage.
  • Maura Rabun leads the offense with 34 kills and a .192 hitting percentage.
  • Emma Seiz contributed 20 kills thus far, while Olivia Tallo is right behind her with 19.
  • Jessica Molden (47) and Jill Reando (41) have combined for 88 of the 117 assists.
  • Defensively, the Griffins have come away with 14.00 digs per set. Megan Schaller leads the group with 71 digs (3.94 digs per set).

A Look At The Illinois College Lady Blues

  • The Lady Blues are coming off a 2-2 showing at the Millikin Tournament this past weekend.
  • The team picked up wins over Lincoln College and Rose-Hulman, however, they fell in straight sets against Millikin and closed out the tournament with a tough five-set defeat against Greenville.
  • Offensively, the Lady Blues have accumulated 13.24 kills per set and a .233 hitting percentage.
  • Ali Pankey is off to a fast start with 113 kills and a .185 hitting percentage.
  • Abbie Horstmann is second on the squad with 67 kills and a.341 hitting percentage.
  • Setter Elizabeth Ganley dishes out 11.24 assists per set, while Madie Budd totaled 141 digs.
  • Also, at the net the Lady Blues own 41.0 blocks. Horstmann has a team-high 20 blocks.


A Look At The St. Louis College of Pharmacy Eutectics

  • The Eutectics are on a three-game winning streak as they've picked up a five-set win over Lincoln Christian, while earning sweeps over MacMurray and Principia.
  • In its most recent outing against the Panthers, the Eutectics totaled 38 kills and a .179 hitting percentage. Defensively, they came away with 77 digs and 15 block assists.
  • On the season, STLCOP totals 11.48 kills per set and a .174 hitting percentage.
  • Lauren Brown has a team-high 152 kills, to go along with her .280 hitting percentage.
  • Alaina Caldwell hands out 4.73 assists per set.
  • Defensively, they're coming away with 19.60 digs per set and Kaitlyn Cid has a team-high 177 digs (4.43 digs per set).
