Women's Volleyball vs. Wisconsin-Stout And Quad Preview

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University women's volleyball team has another busy weekend ahead of them. The team will take on Wisconsin-Stout at WashU on Friday night. On Saturday, they'll host its Quad against MacMurray at 11 a.m., and Spalding at 1 p.m.

A Look At The Griffins

  • The Griffins are coming off a sweep over Principia on Tuesday night. The team set new season-highs in service aces (11) and digs (82).
  • On the year, they're averaging 8.46 kills per set and a .073 hitting percentage.
  • Maura Rabun leads the offense with 114 kills and a .249 hitting percentage. In the last four games she's totaled 43 kills and just seven attack errors.
  • Rae Andrews is up to 80 kills and eclipsed the 100-dig mark after totaling a career-high 19 against the Panthers.
  • Setter Jill Reando averages 4.97 assists per set.
  • Defensively, Megan Schaller is up to 216 digs (4.32 digs per set)

A Look At The Wisconsin-Stout Blue Devils

  • The Blue Devils are coming off a five-set victory over No. 22-ranked UW-Eau Claire.
  • On the year, they're averaging 13.04 kills per set and a .194 hitting percentage.
  • Lexie Nelson owns a team-high 204 kills, a .240 hitting percentage, and a team-high 35 service aces.
  • Lydia Kneubuehl totaled 187 kills thus far and has a team-high .294 hitting percentage.
  • Amber Ripley and Kara Simonson have 162 and 110 kills, respectively.
  • Setter Jessica Duval averages a team-high 5.36 assists per set.
  • Defensively, the Blue Devils have come away with 16.82 digs per set and Steph Cannon leads the charge with 453 (5.88 digs per set).

 

A Look At The MacMurray Highlanders

  • The Highlanders, who will square off against Blackburn on Friday night, are winners of four out of its last six, including a comeback five-set win over Spalding in its last time out.
  • On the year, the Highlanders lead the SLIAC with 843 kills, assists (786), rank second in hitting percentage (.184), service aces (136), and blocks (95).
  • Individually, Kamryn Flesner leads them offensively with a team-high 277 kills and a .249 hitting percentage.
  • Olivia Wall ranks second with 162 kills and a .154 hitting percentage.
  • Setter Janelle Benson averages 4.97 assists per set.
  • Defensively, Carissa Smith totaled a team-high 393 digs (5.24 digs per set). She currently ranks second in overall digs and third in digs per set in the SLIAC.

 

A Look At The Spalding Golden Eagles

  • Since its sweep win over Fontbonne, the Golden Eagles have dropped three out of its last four. Its lone win came against Eureka in a straight set win.
  • On the season, the Golden Eagles average 10.32 kills per set and a .133 hitting percentage.
  • Savannah Kruse paces the offense with 162 kills and a .172 hitting percentage.
  • Samantha Robison (143) and Cassie Jones (142) are both over the 140-kill mark.
  • Setter Mya Summers averages a team-high 7.76 assists per set.
  • Defensively, Sarah Richards leads with 263 digs.
