ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The 2019 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Women's Soccer Preseason Poll have predicted the Griffins as second this year right behind number one, Webster.

Webster holds the top spot with nine first-place votes and 81 total points overall. The Griffins received a total of 65 points. Finishing close behind is Westminster with one first-place vote and 63 total points.

Last season the Griffins finished their regular season in second place with an overall  record of 11-6-2  and a conference record of 8-1. During SLIAC Semifinals the Griffins saw their season come to an end in penalty kicks against adventural conference champions Westminster.

This season, the team will return five All-Conference players Molly Kovarik, Tori Harris, Makayla Hussong, Rebecca Bass, and Rylee Stafford.

The team gets its 2019 campaign underway on August 30th against Ozarks (Ark.) in Memphis, Tenn.
