Women's Basketball Releases Its 2017-18 Schedule

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University women's basketball coaching staff has announced its 2017-18 schedule.
The Griffins are coming off a 2016-17 campaign where the team went 13-13 overall and 9-7 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC). The 13 overall wins and nine conference victories are its highest since the 2011-12 season.
The team advanced onto the SLIAC Tournament and squared off against Eureka in the Semifinals. Despite its efforts, the Red Devils came away with the 86-55 win, ending its 2016-17 season.
This year, FBU will get its year started on November 14th in an exhibition outing against NCAA Division II, Lindenwood University. Its first official game will take place three days later on the road against Robert Morris-Springfield.
Then, Fontbonne will play one of its two home games of the month on November 20th against St. Mary-of-the-Woods with a tip-off set for 6 p.m. After three more non-conference games, the Griffins get its first taste of conference competition on November 29th at home against Spalding.
In the month of December, Fontbonne will look to take advantage of playing in front of the home crowd as they'll host six of its seven games inside MABEE Gymnasium.
To start off the New Year, FBU will hit the road to take on Westminster, but they'll be back in front of the home crowd on that Saturday against MacMurray.
They'll play two more home games in January followed by two in February against Westminster on February 3rd and Iowa Wesleyan on February 10th on Senior Day where the team will honor its two seniors.
