Men's Soccer at Harris-Stowe State Preview

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University men's soccer team looks to earn its first win on the year when they'll head down Highway 40 and take on Harris-Stowe State in a non-conference outing.

A Look At The Griffins

  • The Griffins are coming off a couple of tough losses against Concordia Wisconsin (4-1) and No. 20 Wisconsin-Platteville this past weekend.
  • Mike Massay netted the lone goal over the weekend, while Bryan Carroll picked up his first assist on the year.
  • In net, both Eric Volk and Ethan Cowell saw action. Volk made six saves against Concordia Wisconsin.
  • Cowell, meanwhile, made a season-high 11 in his debut with Fontbonne.


A Look At The Harris-Stowe State Hornets

  • Harris-Stowe is coming off a 2018 season where they went 1-13-2.
  • The Hornets opened its 2019 campaign with a 2-0 win over Kansas Christian.
  • Harris-Stowe outshot Kansas Christian 12-8 in the contest, including landing seven shots on goal.
  • Andrej Markesic and Adin Mulasalihovic each had a goal.
  • Nicholas Morales picked up three saves in the win.
