ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University men's soccer team has its home opener on Thursday night against Knox College. Kick-off set for 7 p.m.

A Look At The Griffins

  • The Griffins are coming off a 1-1 stint on the road against Indiana. The team picked up a 4-1 win against Franklin, but fell in the finale 1-0 against Wabash.
  • On the season, the team has posted seven goals (third in SLIAC) and are led by Blake Smugala's two.
  • Marc Roellig, Brendan Kopff, Nick Wolf, Andres Castro and Nick Nelson have scored one each.
  • In goal, Eric Volk has made 20 saves, ranking him 59th in the country and second in the SLIAC.


A Look At The Prairie Fire

  • Knox moved to 2-2-1 on the season after a 2-0 shutout win against Augustana College. It's the second straight shutout for them, after posting a 2-0 victory against Westminster two days prior.
  • The Prairie Fire are led offensively by Jun Min's two goals and one assist.
  • Martin Garcia and Jake Totty contributed one goal apiece.
  • In net, Justin Dunn has made all four stats and owns a 0.26 goals against average in 351:35 minutes of action.
  • Dunn ranks fifth nationally with three shutouts in 2018.
