Hanover, Ind. - Fontbonne traveled to the eastern time zone to take on Hanover Wednesday evening.
Hanover got off to a strong 9-0 start before Michael Picciolo netted the Griffins' first goal on his way to a hat trick. Hanover scored five more goals before Brett Harris scored on an assist from Joey Mirth right before the end of the first half. Four more Hanover goals and then Harris would score the final third quarter goal. Only three goals were netted in the fourth quarter, with Picciolo recording the final two goals of the game.
Hanover's 25 faceoff wins on 27 attempts and 62-32 ground ball advantage aided in the Griffins' 19-5 loss.
Fontbonne returns to MLC action Saturday at Benedictine with a 1pm start time.
