Women's Volleyball Earns AVCA Team Academic Award

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released the 2018-19 Team Academic Award and the Griffins were one of five SLIAC schools to earn the honor.

A team must meet a minimum 3.30 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. The Griffins had the likes of Sarah Borgerding, Victoria Curtice, Megan Schaller, Emma Seiz, Kristina Eason, and Megan McKenzie be named to the SLIAC All-Academic Team with a 3.5 cumulative gpa or above.

A total of 1,126 teams picked up the award and that number breaks the previous years total of 977 to set an all-time high.
