Volleyball falls to two conference opponents over the weekend

St. Louis- This past weekend the women's volleyball team fell to conference opponents Webster University (20-25, 20-25, 3-25) and Principia University (25-23, 18-25, 18-25, 23-25). Principia currently sits in the number two spot as Webster follows in a close third. Both Webster and Principia defeated Westminster College at the Webster-hosted tournament.

Fontbonne's Taryn Ballmann and Abbie Bergtholdt combined for 33 kills on the weekend. Freshman Mandy DeWitt assisted between the two matches. Pulling out most of the defensive stops for the Griffins was freshman Amanda Fieldhaus. Fieldhaus recorded 22 digs on the weekend while fellow teamate senior Olivia Thurmond contributed with her 18 digs.

Fontbonne travels to Greenville College Tuesday night for a 7:30pm matchup against the Panthers.
