Women's Tennis Season Comes To A Close Against Blackburn

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University women's tennis team saw its 2019 season come to a close in tough fashion on Saturday after falling 5-1 against Blackburn in the fifth-place game of the SLIAC Tournament.

How It Happened

In doubles play, the Griffins earned a win at No. 2 doubles as Andrea Wiele and Alexis Bracken earned an 8-3 victory. In singles play, at No. 1, Gariel Pierce defeated Chloe Loehr, 6-1, 6-1. At No. 5 singles, Annica Mackay-Slavin went on to defeat Alexis Bracken 6-4, 6-3 for the match win.
