Women's Soccer Wins Third Game In A Row

St. Mary-Of-The-Woods, Ind.—The Fontbonne University Women's Soccer team is now on a three game winning streak after defeating St. Mary-of-the-Woods (4-2).

How It Happened

Fontbonne Women's Soccer won their third game in a row. Junior Molly Kovarik started it off scoring the first goal in the 11th minute assisted by Junior Kierstyn Weaver. They finished up the first half 2-1 against St. Mary-Woods. The Griffins had two more goals in the second half, that gave them the win with a score of 4-2.

  • The team had 26 shots during tonight's game with 15 on frame.
  • Junior Kovarik started the team off with the first goal at the 11th minute assisted by Weaver.
  • Sophomore Caroline Neal scored the second goal of the night at the 14th minute mark.
  • Rebecca Bass netted two goals on the night. 


St. Mary-Of-The-Woods

  • St. Mary-Woods now has a record of 5-4
  • Freshman Megan Benefiel covered the net all 90 minutes saving 11 goals while allowing four.
  • Freshman Alicia Lombardo scored the first goal for St. Mary-Woods at the 20th minute mark.
  • Freshman Lanee Andrew Scored their final goal of the night at the 77th minute.
