CARLINVILLE, Ill.—The Fontbonne University women's soccer team extended its shutout streak out to six games after a 2-0 victory over Blackburn on Saturday.
In net for Blackburn (2-12; 0-5 SLIAC), Anicca Mackay-Slavin made 10 saves.
After a scoreless first half, where the Griffins outshot the Beavers 12-0, the team got on the board in the second.
In the 52nd minute, Collie scored an unassisted goal to make it a 1-0 game. Then, at the 67:42 mark, Harris scored off an assist from Daniele Caruso to give them a 2-0 lead. That proved to be more than enough with Fontbonne going on for the win.
The team returns to action next Wednesday night at home against Westminster. Kick-off is slated for 6 p.m.
