Women's Golf Closes Out Round One In Sixth At The SLIAC Championship

JACKSONVILLE, Ill.—Round one has wrapped up at the SLIAC Women's Golf Championships and the Griffins stand in sixth place at 74-over par 362.

How It Happened

Newcomer to the conference, Grinnell College, leads the field with a 33-over par 321 which is a new team-low round. They're followed by four other newcomers in Illinois College (+45), Lake Forest College (+49), Monmouth College (+49), and Knox College (+72) to round out the top-five.

Individually, Nina Kouchi (Grinnell College), is alone in first place after scoring a 1-over par 73 and that sets a new SLIAC Championship low round. Maddi Vandervort turned in her scorecard at 13-over par 85 to finish in a tie for 15^th.

Casey Linsenbardt is the next Griffin on the board in 24^th place after hitting a 17-over par 89, while Grace Harlin hit her way to a 20-over par 92 for 26^th.

Sarah Saddoris totaled a 24-over par 96 for 28^th and Allison Franken is right behind her at 28-over par 100 for 32^nd.
