Vandervort Leads Fontbonne After Round One At The Millikin Dechert Classic

DECATUR, Ill.—Day one is in the books at the Millikin Dechert Classic and the Fontbonne University women's golf team stands in fourth place at 421.

How It Happened

Host Millikin University sits atop the leaderboard with a 50-over par 338. North Central College stands in second at 70-over par 358, while Millikin University "B" team scored a 79-over par 367.

Individually, Taylor Chase (Millikin University) shot a 9-over par 81 to lead the field. The Griffins are led by Maddi Vandervort as she stands in 11^th place with a 23-over par 95.

Casey Linsenbardt turned in her scorecard at 28-over par 100 for 16^th place, while Sarah Saddoris hit her way to a 35-over par 107. Allison Franken totaled a 47-over par 119 and Catherine Fowler ended the day at 54-over par 126.
