Vandervort leads women's golf at Monmouth Fighting Scots Invite

Monmouth, Ill. - Freshman Maddi Vandervort (O'Fallon, Mo./St. Dominic) led Fontbonne women's golf at Monmouth College's Fighting Scot Invitational this weekend. Vandervort shot a season-low 88 in the second round and finished in 20th place.

Sophomore Hannah Householder also shot an 88, but in the first round. She finished in 23rd place and Sammi Charpentier was hot on the heels of Householder, shooting an 89 on the first day as well.

The Griffins will next travel to Prestonburg, Ky. the first weekend of October to compete in the University of Pikeville's Fall Invitational.
