Emmie Haring named SLIAC Player of the Week
St. Louis, Mo. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) named Griffin sophomore Emmie Haring (Ballwin, Mo./St. Joseph's Academy) as this weeks women's basketball player of the week.
Haring tied a school record over the weekend when she totaled 12 assists in the Griffins' 93-88 win over Knox College. Haring led the Griffins down the court against the full-court press finding open players all over the court. She also secured 10 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals on the afternoon.
Four Griffins finished with double-digit points. Haring and Olivia Hollander ended with double-doubles while Erika Kuhn and Chelsy Gibson each missed double-doubles by one rebound. Kuhn and Gibson scored 25 and 22 points respectively. Hollander finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Fontbonne opens SLIAC play at Principia College in Elsah, Ill. this Tuesday, December 2nd. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
