Sophomores earn All-Conference honors

March 2, 2012 - A pair of Fontbonne sophomore women's basketball players were recently named to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) All-Conference Second Team.

Shelby Ellison and Chelsey Freymuth were named to the SLIAC All-Conference Second Team after helping lead Fontbonne to a 15-11 overall record and a 12-4 SLIAC record. The Griffins finished in third place in the SLIAC.

Ellison led the Griffins in scoring averaging 12.4 points per game. Ellison also earned SLIAC All-Tournament Team honors. Freymuth was second on the team in scoring averaging more than 10 points a game and first in rebounding grabbing more than six boards a game.
