MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa.—The Fontbonne University softball team returns to action this Saturday when they'll pay a visit to Iowa Wesleyan. First-pitch at 3 p.m.

A Look At The Griffins

  • The Griffins have won three out of its last four as they're coming off a split against Eureka. The team took game one 9-8 (8 inn.) but fell in game two 10-9.
  • In those last four games, the offense is batting .369 and they're led by Emelia Modglin. The senior catcher is batting a team-high .615 and tallied six RBI.
  • Lexi Becker is hitting .467, while Grace Harlin leads the team in runs scored (nine), to go along with her .417 clip.
  • Diamond Thomas (.375), Emily McNiff (.364), and Maddy Strickland (.333) are all batting over the .300 mark the last four games.
  • Inside the circle, the staff has a 5.40 ERA in 26.2 innings of work.
  • Strickland is 2-0 with a 3.27 ERA and has sat down a team-high nine batters.

A Look At The Iowa Wesleyan Tigers

  • The Tigers extended its winning streak out to four after sweeping past MacMurray 3-1 and 14-1 (5 inn.).
  • On the year, the offense has a .353 average and leading the way is Morgan Christner with her .450 average, 27 hits, and 23 RBI.
  • Allison Daum is hitting .419, while Emma McDanel owns a .414 average, 24 hits, and 20 RBI.
  • Inside the circle, the trio of hurlers has a team ERA of 3.31 and totaled 145 strikeouts.
  • Morgan Christner is off to an 8-3 start, totaling 102 strikeouts, just 12 walks, and a 2.42 ERA.
