Softball Fall Season a Success
St. Louis, Mo. - Fontbonne University softball hosted their 7th consecutive and 12th overall Reverse Exposure Tournament over the weekend. In all, 15 colleges played 24 games and all players, coaches and fans enjoyed great weather.
Overall Coach Rosner was happy with the way the Griffins played. Fontbonne tied Maryville University and MO S&T after seven innings. The Griffins then fell to the University of Missouri-St. Louis in the bottom of the sixth. Even though mistakes were made, Fontbonne players overcame these obstacles and Fontbonne coaches are confident that the girls learned will adjust for yet another successul spring season.
As in the past, Fontbonne pitching and catching was most successful and the Griffin defense was up to par. Offense wasn't as successful as it is in-season, but it's the fall so Griffin fans are excited to see what spring brings.
The Reverse Exposure Tournament allowed several freshmen to get their feet wet, and see a glimpse of what it feels like to play college softball, understanding the much more aggressive offensive power and faster pitching.
