ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Stephen Pryk of the Fontbonne University men's soccer team scored the Griffins only goal of the night during the loss to Aurora University. The Griffins drop to 1-2 on the season.
Aurora started off aggressive as they put up a 2-0 lead in the first period.
Fontbonne had nine shot attempts during the first half but was unable to score.
The Griffins comeback attempt started with a goal from Pryk in the 61st minute, 2-1. However, they were unable to find the back of the net again during the second half.
Aurora scored one more to take the win.
Fontbonne outshot Aurora, 20-17.
Dominic Haggard played 90 minutes in between posts and stopped four shots.
The Griffins travel next to Wis-Whitewater on Sunday, Aug. 10. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
