Men's Golf Finishes In Second At SLIAC Preview; Henderson Takes Home Win
LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The Fontbonne University men’s golf team got its spring season underway at the SLIAC Conference Preview and the Griffins ended up in second place. Paul Henderson took home the win for Fontbonne scoring a 2-over par 74.
LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The Fontbonne University men's golf team got its spring season underway at the SLIAC Conference Preview and the Griffins ended up in second place. Paul Henderson took home the win for Fontbonne scoring a 2-over par 74.
Host Spalding University won scoring a 24-over par 312. Fontbonne shot a 36-over par 324 for second, while Blackburn hit its way to a 61-over par 349 for third.
Henderson, an Arnold, Mo., native, won his first event fending off three different Spalding players for the win. Cody McKinney shot a 5-over par 77 for a fourth place tie.
Cole Deppe ended in 11th at 14-over par 86, while Lake Deppe followed at 15-over par 87 for 12th. Carson King turned in his scorecard at 22-over par 94 for 16th.
