Men's Golf Finishes In 13th At The Midwest Region Classic
GALENA, Ill.-- The Fontbonne University men’s golf team hit the course for the first time this year and finished in 13th place with an 85-over par 661 (332-329) at the Midwest Region Classic.
GALENA, Ill.-- The Fontbonne University men's golf team hit the course for the first time this year and finished in 13th place with an 85-over par 661 (332-329) at the Midwest Region Classic.
Edgewood College won the overall with a 24-over par 600 (305-295). University of Dubuque ended up in second at 43-over par 619 (310-309), while Wartburg College rounded out in third at 44-over par 620 (312-308).
Individually, Jake Schroeckenthaler (Edgewood) picked up the win after being the lone player under-par shooting a 3-under 141 (69-72).
Lake Deppe led Fontbonne hitting his way to a 15-over par 159 (80-79) for 27th place. Carson King improved his first-round score by five strokes finishing at 23-over par 167 (86-81) for 66th.
Cody McKinney ended up two strokes behind King with a 25-ove par 169 (82-87), while Cole Deppe also had strong second-round with a six stroke improvement finishing at 26-over par 170 (88-82). Paul Henderson ended the two-day event with a 29-over par 183 (84-89).
