Rain holds off second-half of Gorlok Spring Invitational
Senior Zach Goers led the Griffins by one stroke ahead of teammate Will Pruden.
Sunset Hills, Mo. - Fontbonne University men's golf finished 10th at the Gorlok Spring Invitational this weekend.
Round one was played at Aberdeen Golf Club in Eureka, Mo. The 6,789 yards had a par 71. Sophomore Will Pruden recorded one of two Eagles on the day. His Eagles came on the seventh hole which was a par five. Pruden finished the day with an 81 while senior Zach Goers led the Griffins with a score of 78.
Round two was played at Sunset Country Club in Sunset Hills, Mo., but the 18-hole round was cut short due to the weather. Pruden led the Griffins on the 3, 290 yard round with a score of 36 as Goers finished with 38.
Goers led Fontbonne over the 27-hole total with 116 strokes while Pruden tallied 117.
Fontbonne will play at the Illinois Wesleyan Spring Invitational this Friday, April 7th. The event will take place at Ironwood Golf Course in Normal, Ill.
