Carter named SLIAC Pitcher of the Week

St. Louis, Mo. - Fontbonne baseball pitcher Tanner Carter was just named the Diamond Sports Pitcher of the Week for the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for the week of February 29, 2016.
Carter threw all nine innings of the Griffins' 7-0 win over Dominican University on Sunday, earning a complete-game shutout. The senior St. Louis native threw 11 strikeouts and allowed just three hits and one walk in his 14th career win. It was also the team's first win of the season.
Fontbonne returns to Shaw Park this weekend to host Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday and a doubleheader against the University of Chicago on Sunday.
