ST. LOUIS, Mo.—Head softball coach Casey Cromwell is pleased to announce Sarah Reyes as a Graduate Assistant Coach.
"Sarah is the missing link that our program needed," said Cromwell. "Personally, I'm very excited to have her expertise and knowledge in the bullpen with me so we can make an already great pitching staff even better. She comes to us with a passion for the game that's unmatched and a worldly view of the game from her stint in Vienna."
She continued, "Although she'll work with pitchers predominately, she'll also work with our infield and assist with mental game and leadership training. We're fortunate that Sarah chose Fontbonne to continue her coaching career and we can't wait to see the positive impact she has in our program."
Reyes, a Scotts Valley, Calif., native, was a three-time All-Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) selectee at Menlo College.
In 2019 alone, Reyes batted .383, totaled a career-high 12 homers, to go along with her .804 slugging percentage and 44 RBI. Inside the circle, Reyes tossed 131 innings, going 11-10 and striking out a career-high 65.
In her career, Reyes ranks fifth all-time in Menlo with a .371 clip, while finishing third in homers (22), RBI (105), seventh in doubles (six), ninth in hits (121), doubles (19), and games played (135). She also ranks third in wins (28), seventh in innings pitched (295.1), and strikeouts (122).
After graduation, she played overseas for the Vienna Stars and coached with Menlo for one season before coming to St. Louis.
