Griffins eliminated in NCAA Tournament

May 11, 2012 - The Fontbonne University women's softball team's season came to a crashing halt this weekend as they lost their first two games in the NCAA Tournament and were eliminated. The Griffins finished their season with a 27-12 record.

The Griffins lost to UW Eau-Claire yesterday 6-1 and St. Norbert College 7-0 this morning. Fontbonne freshmen Cassi Glixman and Danni Glixman led the Griffins in the tournament with three hits apiece. Danni Glixman was named to the All-Regional Team.

Fontbonne, which has advanced to the NCAA Tournament in each of the last three seasons, has now lost its last nine games in the Tournament.
