ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The ABCA/Rawlings Division III All-Region and All-American honors were released. Luke Summers was named to both the All-Region and All-American First Team, while Jonathan Hoevelmann earned All-Region Third Team.
Summers, a St. Louis, Mo., native, concluded the 2019 campaign with an 11-2 overall record in 94.0 innings pitched, allowing seven earned runs, sitting down 127, and owning a 0.67 ERA. He currently leads Division III in both strikeouts and ERA.
Thus far, Summers has earned SLIAC First Team honors, SLIAC Pitcher of the Year for the Second straight season, along with D3baseball.com All-Region and All-American accolades.
Hoevelmann is named to the All-Region Team for the first time in his career. He ended his senior campaign with a .377 average, totaling 60 hits, 41 runs scored, 13 doubles, three homers, and 24 RBI. He set a single-season record at Fontbonne with 34 stolen bases and ranks first all-time with 85.
Hoevelmann has earned SLIAC First Team and D3baseball.com All-Region Third Team honors.
