Angela "Angie" Eiler Walsh is a 1995 graduate of Fontbonne University with a major in Communications and Public Relations. When Angie began school at Fontbonne in 1991, the athletic program here was just beginning to emerge. Avidly interested in supporting her school, Angie approached Lee McKinney, the Athletic Director, with the proposal to begin a cheerleading squad.
It was a modest beginning, with only three members. Those first three young women paved the way for the teams that followed. Angie acted as captain or co-captain all four years. During her college years, Angie was the recipient of a 1994 Flying Griffin Award and the 1995 Campus Leadership Award. Angie used the experience gained and the enthusiasm she always displayed for her school to become a member of the St. Louis Rams Cheerleaders in 1995. She became the captain of that squad in 1996. During the 1995 through 2000 baseball seasons, Angie was a Team Fredbird Cheer Group member.
