Bio

Schmerbauch began her career at Fontbonne in January 2012 as an intern Athletic Trainer.  She was then promoted to full time Assistant Aathletic Trainer in Fall 2014.  In January 2020, Schmerbauch was named Head Athletic Trainer.

Schmerbauch is a 2011 graduate of the Saint Louis University Master in Athletic Training program, where she gained experience with Webster Groves High School, Washington University in St. Louis Athletics, the River City Rascals Semiprofessional Baseball Club, the Forest Park Community College Highlanders, Affton High School, and SLU Sports Medicine.  Prior to SLU, Schmerbauch attended Webster University and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor in Science of Biological Sciences and a minor in psychology. 

She has been instrumental in establishing a professional relationship with SLU Sports Medicine as well as Logan Chiropractic Services for Fontbonne student athletes.  She currently is an adjunct professor in the Biological Sciences Department and a member of the Fontbonne Athletics Mental Health Committee.
